The Meeting

She stood in front of the mirror one more time,
Double checked everything she wanted everything perfect,
She wore the black dress she saw in her mind when they finally met
That had been playing in her dreams,
She was nervous yet excited,
Finally she would see him,
Finally she would be able to hold him,
Finally forever could begin,
Finally she could just be with him
And not just online but in person,
Her heart started to race,
The seconds and minutes seemed to go so slow,
She wanted to see him,
She wanted to kiss him,
She wanted to tell him everything she has felt,
She wanted to give him all she ever told him,
She wanted the day so perfect,
She wanted everything to just be right,
Her heart seemed so loud that she wondered why no one else could hear,
Could anyone hear how much she was thinking about him?
How much she was just eagerly waiting for him to arrive,
She checked the time again it felt like hours not minutes passed,
She wanted to start pacing but knew that wouldn’t solve the time,
She checked the board again seeing when his plane would arrive,
Although in her heart she knew the time,
She felt like checking herself again but tried to calm her nerves,
She tried to sit down but had to stand,
Her heart started racing more,
Than finally the call came,
She heard about his flight finally landing,
So she stood by the gate hoping everything looked perfect,
Time seemed to stand still,
Her heart raced harder,
Than she saw him,
And right as he got to where she could really see him,
She looked at him,
She felt her heart race louder,
He took her into his arms and they just held each other,
She looked deep into his brown eyes,
She felt everything she wanted to say fly out of the window,
She felt it flee and vanish into the air,
She felt happy and safe,
Everything was perfect,
She kisses him hard and deep,
And he said “it’s good to be home with you honey,
I have waited so long for this moment to come,
Now let’s go home shall we my love?”
She looked deep into his eyes seeing the love,
Seeing everything that was in her heart reflected in his eyes,
And she said “Yes, my love let’s go home.”
And than forever began,
That first meeting,
That first moment when two hearts were made whole
And two souls were intertwined,
And two loves were finally merged,
Forever began than.
