You are poison,

Dangerous but tempting,
Hurtful but comforting,
Painful but hard to get over,
Deceitful but hard to not want to believe,

But it is hard to rid of something you are addicted to,

It is hard to rid of something when you don’t want to,
But you know that someday the strength will be fully there,
Someday I will have the strength to fully let you go,
Someday I will not think of you,
Someday I will love you less,
Someday I will care about you less,
Someday I will be rid of this,
You are a poison,
You are a bad drug,
Something that is addicting,
Something I can now live without,
I might not have the full strength to completely not care,
I might not have the full strength to completely not love you,
I might not have the full strength to completely let you go,
But someday the sun will shine even brighter,
Someday the sun will break through the rest of the clouds,
Someday the poison you are will be gone,
You are a poison,
You are a bad drug,
But someday this habit will be over,
Someday this habit will be gone,
Someday you will see me fully walk away,
Someday you will see me not care about you and me,
Someday the day will be mine,
Someday you won’t be addicting,
Someday you will be gone from my thoughts,
Someday your poison won’t affect me any longer.
