Something In The Mist

There is something in the mist,
It surrounds me,
It is the darkness,
It is the light,
It is the unknowing,
It is this fight,
The fight of these emotions,
The fears,
The doubts,
The hopeless feeling,
The wondering,
The not knowing,
There is something in the mist,
It engulfs my soul,
It engulfs my heart,
I wonder if I will find the way,
Find the way as I have before,
Find the way to the light,
To not let it hold onto me,
How many more times must I do this?
How many more times must I keep fighting?
How many more times must I keep wondering?
Wondering if there will ever be more?
Wondering if just for once everything would be wonderful,
Wonderful the way it was before,
There is something in the mist,
But I cannot see it,
I am blinded by the tears,
The pain,
The sadness,
The wanting him here,
The wanting to hold him,
The yearning in my heart,
There is something in the mist,
But it seems so far away,
It seems like leagues,
Upon leagues of an endless see,
All I want to do is be with him,
All I want to do is hold him,
All I want to do is kiss him,
All I want to do is be near his side,
All I want is things it seems,
Are things I cannot seem to have,
There is something in the mist,
Something that seems so far away,
Something I want to hold onto,
I just want to see him,
Want to feel him,
Want to kiss him,
Have him bring me out of the darkness,
Bring me out like he did when he found me,
Bring me out,
Because I don’t want to know life,
I don’t want to know love,
Without him by my side.
