Letting Things Fade

Sometimes in our life we have to let things fade,

Sometimes in our days we have to let things go,

Sometimes in our life we have to give it up,

Even when it feels like it is killing us inside,

Sometimes there are times we want to hold onto everything,

With the death grip and to stop things from leaving us,

But if we do not let things fade away,

Sometimes the better things than cannot come into our life,

And sometimes our life cannot be fully tested,

And sometimes our life cannot be fully grown,

And sometimes our strength cannot be built on our faith alone,

We might feel we are tired and torn,

And we just want to give it all up,

We are tired of the adversity,

We are tired of the hurt emotions,

And going through everything every single day,

Some of us have dealt with the burdens longer than most,

Have felt like we have been in the valleys,

Longer than we would care to be,

Longer than we would want anyone else to be,

We want to be strong,

We want to encourage those around us,

But sometimes it isn’t always easy,

And sometimes it isn’t always so simple,

Do you ever really see the true emotions?

Do you ever really feel how the hardships matter?

Sometimes in life we have to let things fade,

Sometimes in our days we have to let things go,

Sometimes in our life we have to give it up,

Even when it feels like it is killing us inside,

We might want to hold onto things that is not good for us,

Because it mattered so much in our lives,

We might want to hold onto people because they have been there,

For times when everyone else was not,

And when no one else didn’t seem to care,

Choosing to stand up for certain things is not always an easy road,

And letting the love you have for people fade,

When the depth is in the inner most of your soul,

And your heart doesn’t know how to grieve anymore,

As you have lost friends before from other things,

How do you cry the tears if they won’t come?

How do you let it fade when everything becomes so hard to believe,

How do you let it go when you feel you can’t breathe?

How do you let it fade when the emotions won’t flow?

Fade away barriers,

Fade away chains saving me from this grief,

The emotions might run deep,

The emotions might be hard to deal with,

The emotions might be hard to believe,

But life must go on again,

And I must fade away from that life of before,

And let those emotions finally be healed,

And let those moments finally be let go,

And if that means also letting you go,

And moving on to the truth of Him,

And the a way out finally from the valley,

Then I need to take that step,

And find my way out,

And fade away from the life of you,

Even with my heart aching from the loss,

Of your friendship,

And the memories of everything we have been through,

And believe,

And have faith,

In what I know is true.
