They Say That Every Rose Has It's Thorn

They say that every rose has it’s thorn,
That when you come near it,
It will make you bleed,
But I have found to not listen to what people say,
That there are some that might look
Like the roses described,
But if you take a moment,
If you delve into the person’s mind,
You just might find what you are looking for,
Just when your life might seem at it’s darkest moment,
And that everything seems worse than ever before,
You might find the one,
The one that will come,
The one that will change your life,
Even if you have been slighted in love,
Even if you been torn apart and broken,
There is that one that wants you to see,
They say that every rose has it’s thorn,
That when you come near it,
It will make you bleed,
But I find that sometimes you find the person,
That goes and breaks down your defenses without trying,
That changes your life,
That takes you from wearing your heart on your sleeve,
To having it open to them like no one before,
They say that every rose has it’s thorn,
But perhaps that rose just needs love,
Attention,
Something to believe in,
Maybe it just needs faith,
Hope,
Stars,
Belief in love again,
Maybe it just needs to bloom,
Bloom under something wonderful,
And maybe than you will see,
That not every rose has a thorn,
Some just need to be healed,
By the light of love,
By the rays of light,
By what has been shown to me,
Every rose just needs something,
Something to believe in again,
Someone like you.
