The Trouble Is We Need God


The trouble is we need to go back to trusting God,
We need to find a way back to following Him,
People keep on pushing,
People keep on believing,
That pushing Him out of everything is the way to go,
People call out injustice,
And discrimination,
And believe that it can be better,
That going this way will turn things around,
They believe in the lies,
And I know how promising those lies can be,
I once believed in them too,
Until the moment God entered into my soul,
And into my life,
And starting changing every aspect,
Changing my heart,
Healing the hurts within my heart and soul,
Healing the wounds from the past,
Helping me to forgive the past,
Helping me to leave the past fully behind,
I realized how much I needed to trust in God,
The trouble is we need to go back to praying to God,
We need to raise our voices to Him,
Asking Him to direct our lives,
To give us the strength,
To give us the direction we need,
To give us the wisdom that is lacking in today,
To give us true hope that we need today,
To give us true peace that we need today,
So many people are hurting,
So many people are wanting,
So many people are in need,
When will the world realize?
When will people truly understand?
When will people see beyond those lies?
And the things that are outside of the truth?
And the things that are holding them back?
God is not someone to hate,
God is not someone to loathe,
God is our creator,
God is our protector,
God is our everything,
God wants the very best for us,
Even in this world of sin,
He wants to still guide your life,
He wants to be with you,
He wants you to come to Him,
He wants you to spend eternity with Him,
He wants you to have a wonderful purpose,
So instead of believing in the lies of today,
Instead of believing in the way the world
Will want you to think,
The way that will hurt you,
Desert you,
Cause you pain,
Hold out your hand for Him,
Ask Him into your life,
Because the trouble is we all need Him,
We all need Him into our lives,
We need to stop fighting the sins of our flesh,
The sins of this world,
The sins all around us,
And let God indwell within,
And true happiness will come,
When you see His plans will bring you peace,
His plans will bring you happiness,
His plans will bring you joy,
His plans will bring you strength,
More than you could ever know,
If you just trust in Him.
