Thinking Of You Today
I
am thinking of you today,
A person
I considered a brother,
One
that brain cancer took away,
Always
one who was so kind,
Caring
and sweet,
Amazing
and gentle,
Always
knowing how to get me to laugh,
Even
when you got cancer your outlook never changed,
Always
inspiring me,
Always
believing in me,
Always
worrying more about others than the pain,
The
pain you dealt with all the time,
I
know you no longer have to worry,
Of
the pain and hurt,
But
I miss you my brother,
Family
isn’t always blood,
Sometimes
its people like you,
That
walk into our lives,
Touching
a deep part of our hearts,
Being
a great friend and listener,
Someone
who just cares and loves,
Without
any reservation,
Someone
who treats you as family,
I
am thinking of you today,
Your
memory has always lingered,
And
I miss the laughter and kindness,
You
were like me always drawing in people,
Loving
and caring for them without second thought,
Always
wanting to help someone in need,
Even
if it is just by being a good friend,
Someone
who would listen to people’s worries and thoughts,
You
were always there for so many,
And
you touched so many lives,
I
am thinking of you today my brother,
I
am missing that smile of yours,
That
laughter that could get anyone laughing,
The
sense of humor that would get a whole chat room,
Or
a bunch of people to just laugh and forget about things for a while,
I
know you are no longer having to deal with the worries of this world,
But
how I wish you were still here my brother,
Wish
you were able to be around all these memories I still have to share,
All
the times I wanted to just talk to you,
And
get that smile and laughter that you always had,
I
am thinking of you my brother,
I
have not forgotten about you,
Because
you have always laid in my heart,
Always
there my dear brother,
And
I wish more people were like you,
So
kind, caring, amazing, funny, and sweet,
Someone
who is just there for people not caring,
About
what they have going on in their lives,
Your
smile and laughter is tattooed in my heart,
And
your memory still lives on,
Even
through all this time.
